Kisumu County
Kisumu County sits on the northeastern shore of Lake Victoria in western Kenya. Kisumu city is an important lake port and a centre of Luo culture, with sunsets, fish restaurants and boat excursions among its visitor highlights. Kisumu Impala Sanctuary protects lakeshore habitat and offers close views of impalas and other animals. Kisumu Museum introduces the region’s natural and cultural history. West of the city, Kit Mikayi is a striking rock formation with spiritual importance to local communities.
